So we had a tie last night, was wonderin' when that was going to happen. I think I have an easy solution to this problem and would like to hear back from the players. I've already made the change to the rules so you can check out the "official" wording but the gist of it is this: if there is a tie after LTPs have been added up, we add up the YEARS of the correctly picked songs, from when that song was FIRST played. Preference is given to calling older songs, so the winner would be the person who had a lower sum of years. For example: - JimmysAmp correctly picked Stevens Cat, Pilgrims, and Low Spark, while
- MikeysPedal correctly picked You Got Yours, Heroes, and Blight.
Lets say the covers were both 6Up picks and they tied at 4.5 - then let's assume the LTPs were equal. We look up the FTP for each song and it looks like this:
- Steven's Cat (2015) Pilgrims (1992) Low Spark (1986)
- You Got Yours (1995) Heroes (1993) Blight (1995)
we would simply add the digits of the years to determine a winner, so:
- JimmysAmp - 2,015 + 1,992 + 1,986 = 5,993
- MikeysPedal - 1,995 + 1,993 + 1,995 = 5,983
MikeysPedal would win based on a lower sum of the years. Thoughts?

This is an interesting concept Pil.
My thought is that many games or sports allow teams to end with a draw or a tie.
Maybe ties are ok, since ties can still occur with correct cover sings being called?
Maybe this tiebreaker rule is applied if there is a tie for the overall tour winner, allowing for all tour shows to end in a draw.
Just thoughts....
